The search for the Tara Air flight has been suspended for eight hours. Chief District Officer (CDO) of Mustang, Netra Prasad Sharma,
informed that there was a problem in the search operation due to thick fog in the area. The team has been mobilized in different areas for the search by helicopter and land route. However, he said that the search operation was halted due to heavy fog and snowfall in the area.
However, CDO Sharma said that the team was about to return today saying that there was no possibility of further rescue work. A team of 82 Nepal Army personnel has been deployed to search for the ship.
Similarly, rescue teams of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Tara Air have also been deployed in the affected areas. The Tara Air flight from Pokhara to Jomsom had lost contact at 10:07 a.m. on Sunday morning. The condition of 22 passengers, including three crew members, is unknown.
